Step3: Business Advisory Services
Leadership / Management
Leadership is doing the right thing and management is doing things right. These two skill sets need to work together. You must have the ability to manage the day-to-day tasks and deliver results, while seeing the opportunity to change the big picture. Demonstrating good leadership skills without the management skills to support it will leave you with an inability to operationalize your vision. Likewise, a good manager without good leadership skills will cause continual challenges in motivating your team and providing the results you are trying to manage to. Being able to blend these two styles is truly a unique skill set. Keep in mind there are an outstanding number of managers in the world, but very few embody the characteristics of a leader.
Team Building: The characteristics of a good team are a commitment to a common purpose, performance goals, complementary skills and an approach for which you hold yourselves mutually accountable. Establishing this team dynamic will reap great rewards, not only in performance, but you will visibly see a difference in the morale of your team. Everybody is happier at work when they feel a sense of ownership and are motivated and engaged to reach a goal.
Leadership Development Strategy: Every leader is aware of the value of a well-defined strategy. Few, however, give thought to the leadership that would be required to implement strategies that call for changes in the direction or capability in the organization. Without proper leadership, even the best and boldest business systems and strategies flounder, their potential never realized.
Leadership is not a “one size fits all” proposition. FGP is uniquely positioned with the expertise to help you align your leadership with your operational goals. The quality of your leadership drives the performance of our company.
